BUTLER
A.N.
As a business analyst, A. N. Butler (Ann) used to write dry business reports for her clients. Now, she writes supernatural short stories, general fiction and women’s fiction. Ann has loved reading for as long as she can remember. Her preference is for tropey, angsty romantic fiction and books where family dynamics play a huge part in the story.
Ann lives in London. She has two podcast channels: the Ann Butler Podcast of book chats and the Book Griffin Podcast. She is currently working on a family drama about estranged brothers, which she hopes to publish before the end of 2026.
When Ann isn’t writing or podcasting, she’s either gardening or standing in as a labourer for husband’s DIY projects!

Betrayal doesn't have to be the end
In this emotional story set in London, we meet Daniel (confident, ambitious, smart) and Jennifer (successful, wary). They work together. They like each other. As in like like. Each have their reasons why it can't go anywhere.
However, when they’re the last ones standing after a work social, Daniel can’t resist asking Jennifer on a date. Their first kiss turns their worlds upside down. Their first night together is incendiary. Looks like they might be going somewhere after all.
But when outside pressures push them to the edge and things go awry, they need to work out for themselves that betrayal doesn’t have to be the end. When Jennifer has to deal with devastating news, will Daniel be there to help her pick up the pieces?
Bad Press is her middle name

If she's Amara Allen, she keeps her armour polished and her punch bag handy. After all, she'll need some way to cope when the trolling becomes too much.
Things start to look up when the man she's been watching for months and has pegged as one of the good guys asks her on a date. Maybe with him she can let her guard down.
As for Nicholas, the man in question, dating a social misfit who struggles to make conversation is not his idea of a good time. But what can he do when her mum is pulling his strings?.
COVER REVEAL COMING SOON!
This collection of very short stories, from the mind of AN Butler, introduces you to eleven instances of inexplicable or ghostly occurrences.
There's revenge, redemption and just plain, old spookiness.
Take the unnerving tale of a child warned never to talk about the duppies in her grandparents' back yard, add the narration of a 19th century labourer who went to find work and never came back, and mix in a warning about the malevolent entity that haunts a town off the Irish coast. Throw in more stories along the same vein and stir.
Enjoy these haunting short stories with the duvet wrapped tight and a box of tissues handy.
